Warranty Policy
STEP ONE: Evaluate and determine the validity of your claim.
- Do I still have my original receipt dating back no longer then two (2) years from the date of purchase?
- Did I purchase this board direct online or from an authorized dealer?
- Does the damage appear to be attributable to defective materials or workmanship?
- Does the damage appear to be due to impact, abuse, neglect, or harsh use?
What is covered?
- Top sheet, base, edge or sidewall delamination due to a manufacturing defect.
- Structural stress cracking on the top sheet, base, core, due to a manufacturing defect.
- Misaligned, or free spinning inserts.
What is NOT covered?
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by improper mounting or adjustment of the bindings.
- Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
- Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE®.
- Water damage to wood or water related top sheet cracks near inserts.
- Repair shop repair failure or improper base grind/ grind through.
- Any problem resulting misuse, abuse, or neglect. This includes but is not limited to rail and rock damage from impact.
- Cosmetic issues including top sheet dents or chips, sun-faded/worn off graphics, and edge oxidation or rust.
- Board damage resulting from improper mounting of bindings, including the use of incorrect mounting hardware.
- Stripped inserts or damage to the insert or base due to improper mounting is not considered a material flaw and is not repairable.
- Damages caused by any non-authorized modifications.
STEP TWO: Contact us directly or an authorized MTN Local dealer.
Please note that all warranty claims required a dated proof of purchase from an Authorized MTN Local dealer in order to be processed. No claim will be considered without a valid proof of purchase from the original purchaser dated back within two (2) years or less.
Please choose one of the following options that best suits your situation:
Bring your snowboard into the authorized retailer from which it was originally purchased. Your local retailers are a great resource to utilize in the warranty process and will help service your needs. Our dealers will setup a claim for you, manage the claim on site or send your board to MTN Local to review.
If you are not in close proximity to the authorized retailer you purchased your snowboard from, then please contact us directly at info@mtnlocalsnowboards.com and we can assist you in the warranty process. In this case we ask that when submitting your claim direct to MTN Local you please include at least two (2) photo attachments of the claimed defective area, a short description of the problem, and proof of purchase information; ideally a scanned copy or photo of your original proof of purchase.
MTN LOCAL’S LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY
MTN Local Snowboards, LLC (“MTN Local”) warrants the original retail purchaser that the MTN Local snowboard is free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. If the MTN Local snowboard is found to be defective, in the judgment of MTN Local, in its sole discretion, MTN Local’s only responsibility and obligation shall be to repair or replace the defective MTN Local snowboard.
- This warranty is subject to the following limitations:
- The warranty applies only to MTN Local snowboards purchased direct from us or from our authorized snowboard dealers.
- This warranty is not transferable, and is valid only for the original retail purchaser. All warranty claims must be accompanied by a proof of purchase, which clearly identifies the dealer.
- All products returned to MTN Local for warranty inspection must receive prior return authorization, which can be given over the phone. For authorization: call # or email: info@mtnlocalsnowboards.com
- Ship products prepaid and insured. MTN Local assumes no responsibility for products during shipment from the customer to us. Customers are responsible for shipping charges to MTN Local. Shipping charges are non refundable. We do not send call tags.
Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect.
- Damage that is impact related, including damage from rocks, rails and other seen or unseen obstacles.
- Damage caused by improper mounting or adjustment of the bindings.
- Damage to the top of the board caused by the bindings or other foreign material.
- Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE®.
- Minor or cosmetic cracks or chips in the top sheet.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Water damage of any kind.
This warranty is void if any modification, change, or alteration has been made to the MTN Local snowboard that is not specifically approved in writing by MTN Local.
Repaired or replaced MTN Local snowboards are covered for the remainder of the original warranty only.
MTN LOCAL SNOWBOARD PRODUCTS ARE NOT COVERED BY ANY VERBAL WARRANTIES. ROCK DAMAGE AND ANY OTHER IMPACT RELATED DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW AS HEREBY LIMITED, THE FOREGOING EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, AGREEMENTS AND SIMILAR OBLIGATIONS OF MANUFACTURER OR SELLER. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE, COUNTRY TO COUNTRY, REGION TO REGION.
Edges are Sharp!!
MTN Local tunes and hot waxes boards by hand. Since metal edges are sharp be aware of how you carry your board, as this is known to wear or cut the fabric of pants, jackets and boots. We can’t be held liable for damage that occurs to your outerwear due to sharp/rough/burred snowboard edges. Sharp edges are known to damage outerwear and boots.
WARNING: SNOWBOARDING CAN BE A HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY. SNOWBOARDING EQUIPMENT EMPLOYS A NON-RELEASE BINDING SYSTEM, WHICH DOES NOT RELEASE EVEN UPON IMPACT. USE OF THIS PRODUCT MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES TO ANY AND ALL PARTS OF THE USER’S BODY. THE USER SHOULD RECEIVE INSTRUCTION FROM A QUALIFIED SNOWBOARDING INSTRUCTOR BEFORE USING THIS EQUIPMENT. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE USED BY MINORS ONLY WITH DIRECT SUPERVISION AND CONSENT OF PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS. NEITHER THE SELLER NOR THE MANUFACTURER SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, DAMAGES, DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT.
